In the last few years, we have assisted to extraordinary advances in different areas of research, especially in chemistry, physics, nanotechnology, materiais and life sciences. ln fact, these breakthroughs were so disrupting that it influenced, for example, the common medical practice. ln the past, most medical approaches were based on symptom control and on the use ofbest drugs to relieve the impact and progression of a given disease. Nowadays, the word 'regeneration' is a popular medical term and actually, a new concept of medicine is associated to it, the so-called 'regenerative medicine.'
